Does anyone love chocolate and peanut butter more than me???? 🍫🥜😋 I very much doubt it! I’m a wee bit obsessed with it. But, as someone who has really turned her bad eating into very healthy, I had to find a way to get my “reese’s” fix in without eating the bad stuff!
Maybe you’re thinking, GG, the founder of God’s Gals, what does dessert have to do with growing our faith???
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
As you know, if you’ve been following me for awhile, I have been a fitness coach and fitness instructor for 20+ years. BUT, even though I have been in the fit world, I wasn’t necessarily following a healthy lifestyle. It wasn’t until I had a hysterectomy about 5 years ago and had a rude awakening with my recovery that I really had to start learning to eat well AND exercise the proper way. When I began to follow a healthy eating plan, I felt like a new woman! Lost weight, so much energy all day long, no more bloating and yucky feeling, and wasn’t even craving all the bad foods. And let me tell you, the old me did NOT eat well at all!
As much as I love all things chocolate peanut butter, yet, also a healthier lifestyle, I had to try to find new ways to eat my most fave foods. And as a strong Jesus-lover, I knew that God had blessed me with this body and I wanted to take care of it. God did not plan for us to sit around on the sofa eating Cheetos. He wants us taking care of these temples He blessed us with, staying active and eating healthy, all natural foods.
Reese’s and Healthy – hmmmm, can it be done?🤔🤔🤔
Believe me, with such an obsession with chocolate and PB, I WILL find a way to make this a healthy treat and delish too.

Do you struggle with getting your God-time in AND your fitness?…
Ok, it’s time to get down to biznass!! The actual recipe for my Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. ⬇⬇ I struggled when making these because I made so many test batches to get it just right…that was a rough job 😂😂😂 I also know how many people are jumping on the Keto craze and wanted to give you some options to stick to your Keto diet. If you’re ready to go out and buy these ingredients right this minute, I gave you some of my fave Amazon links for you to jump right on it!!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups – “healthified”
- 2/3 C of Natural Peanut Butter – only ingredients should be nuts and possibly sea salt
- 1 Tb of Pure Maple Syrup (if you’re trying to follow Keto, I’d omit this, you can add Swerve or Stevia)
- 1-2 Tb of Coconut Flour or Almond Flour (Almond has a bit more fat, good for Keto diets)
- 3.5 Oz of 70% or higher Dark Chocolate Bar (this link is a great sugar free bar, great for Keto)
- Course Sea Salt
In a medium bowl, mix first 3 ingredients. Add more flour if needed (should be cookie dough consistency) Use a cookie scoop and drop onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. If you want them to be more like a Reese’s Egg, use a spoon to flatten them out a bit. Freeze for 20 minutes.
Melt chocolate in microwave for approx 1 minute. Dip each PB piece into the warm chocolate, put back onto the parchment paper and sprinkle with sea salt, if desired. Put back into freezer for up to one hour. I recommend storing them in the freezer until ready to eat.
