It’s summertime and we’re all getting ready to head out on vacay. But guess what??? You CAN be healthy and ENJOY your trip. I’m not making this up! Believe me, I know, as I have been doing it for years.
I used to be that girl who planned trips around as many horrible meals as I could fit in. I had to hit them all! I have now been following a healthy lifestyle for 3 years now and I don’t ever feel I’m depriving myself. I can actually enjoy a trip now and I don’t feel so bloated and tired and icky the whole time.
YES, I still go out to eat and often, but I know how NOT to blow the entire meal and vacation. It’s all about picking your battles. Rather than having many cocktails, bad appetizer, horribly fattening entree AND a dessert….why not have 1 cocktail (preferably not a bad fattening one, but a simple glass of wine or low carb beer or vodka with soda), a healthy appetizer, big salad for dinner or grilled veggies and chicken, and then enjoy a dessert or even better, split that dessert. See…you’re not completely depriving yourself and you won’t feel miserable afterward.
