Making Your Vision Board Work for You

 How to Make Your Vision Board

1.  BE SPECIFIC ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT

What do you want? What do you need? What do you value? And how do you want to feel when those things come true?

Start writing down very specific things you want.  Don’t just say you want to make more money, pick an amount or pick a specific car you want, etc…

**Remember, God can do immesurably more than we can ever ask or imagine**

Ephesians 3:20

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

2. GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES

  • poster board/a large sheet of paper, and/or a cork board

  • glue/pins

  • markers, pens, paint

  • colorful or plain paper

  • magazines/books that can be cut up, as well as sites like Pinterest (search and print out your favorite things)

  • scissors

3. Create Space.

Find a space that you feel comfortable in and that is large enough to spread out all of your supplies. A large table or the floor are usually great choices.

Listen to your favorite music, light candles, spend time praying….whatever works for YOU

4. PICK THE IMAGES AND WORDS

Flip through the magazines and begin tearing/cutting out images/words/phrases that appeal to you.  And don’t forget to be specific with the images you choose.  Not just random nice things; what do YOU want???

5. PASTE THEM TO YOUR PAGE/POSTER BOARD, CORK BOARD

I like to put the MOST IMPORTANT image in the center with everything else around that.  For instance, I put GOD as right in the center with my hubby right next to that.

6. PLACE YOUR VISION BOARD WHERE YOU CAN SEE IT DAILY

Your vision board can now be used as a visual reminder of what you are working torwards in your life. Look at your board often and connect with why you created it. You can pin the pages up somewhere so that you can see them, leave the book open on your table, or anything else that helps you to connect.

7. PRAY OVER IT DAILY

To me the most important part of our board….We can make our boards all day long, but if we make it and forget about it, it’s not doing us much good.  Every morning I add my vision board to my daily prayer time, as well as looking at it every single day.  Spend time daily thanking God for your vision and for making it all come true.  If God can part the RED SEA, He can make your dreams come true!!!
