Urbanica The Meridian Hotel – South Beach, FL
This girl loves to travel and even more so, I love to find unique places to stay. As a small business owner myself, I always like to find more of a small boutique hotel or B & B to stay at. Yes, I love my big fancy hotels too, but it’s great to find a unique smaller hotel and to give them business, too.
I found Urbanica by searching reviews on Trip Advisor and Hotels.com. Both had raving reviews about this place. I specifically wanted to be in South Beach, but NOT the busy crowded bar area. This place did not disappoint and the reviews were right! Urbanica is in a quiet area of South Beach; a really nice, clean, beautifully landscaped streets of South Beach. No loud bars or restaurants close by, yet everything is walkable.
When you arrive at this hotel, you are invited to go straight to the “Mini Bar” – yes, that’s the cool name of the bar – and get your FREE Mojito! The lobby was so fabulous, unique and decorated in such a cool way with vintage suitcases. The wonderful man who greeted me as soon as I drove up was amazing and so helpful. And best part???? They take dogs, so Lucky was welcome! The entire staff couldn’t have been nicer.
The room was beautiful and modern and clean. The only complaint would be our view on the balcony was of a bank parking lot! But luckily we were only there one night, so we could overlook that.
This hotel was such a great location that we could walk everywhere: South Pointe Park, Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road shopping, YET, we were in a very quiet area – so it was perfect for us!!
This hotel also lets you use their bikes for FREE! So we spent the morning touring South Beach along the water. Such a gorgeous place, so modern, friendly and fabulous!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you’re in the South Beach area, you gotta try this out Check out my video below.
